They say the pen is mightier than the sword...plus, it's a lot lighter, too, which makes it the perfect gift! I'm the type of writer who goes through at least 2 pens every month. And truthfully, I've never loved the glide of a pen more than the ones William Henry makes. The craftsmanship is so impeccable I almost didn't believe it at first - I thought, this is too pretty to use! But I immediately realized after one stroke on paper that William Henry pens are MADE to be used. You can feel their dependability as much as you can see how stunningly gorgeous they are. If I ever get writer's block, I just turn one over in my hand for inspiration! This pen is great for the aspiring Woolf or Tennyson, the exec, the snail mail enthusiast, or just about anyone who appreciates functional art. And who doesn't? ~Veronica

Description, Features & Materials

The Cabernet 'Blue Mammoth' is a mesmerizing rollerball pen featuring a barrel in 10,000 year-old fossil Woolly Mammoth tooth, and a light structure in aerospace grade titanium and aluminum. The accents on the carbon fiber cap are in damascus and mokume gane; the pocket clip is set with a sapphire. This beautiful writing instrument also features William Henry's patent-pending Wavelock™ cap closure system – a ring of chromium steel balls embedded in a titanium ring which are captured in wave-shaped grooves in titanium collars for closed and post positions. This is one of William Henry's most exclusive writing instruments, each one imbued with a distinct and unique personality.

Mechanism: Wavelock™ closure system

Materials: Titanium, fossil Woolly Mammoth tooth, sapphire

William Henry uses only aerospace-grade titanium alloy for frames, clips, and micro-fasteners. Called 6Al/4V, it is titanium with a little aluminum and vanadium added in for additional toughness and tensile strength.

William Henry's fossil Mammoth tooth is harvested in Alaska and Siberia. It is a rare and mesmerizing material, a living testimony of the dawn of Mankind.

Traditionally, sapphire symbolizes nobility, truth, sincerity, and faithfulness. Its extraordinary color is the standard against which other blue gems—from topaz to tanzanite—are measured. In ancient Greece and Rome, royalty were convinced that blue sapphires protected their owners from envy and harm. William Henry uses the highest quality sapphires, selected and cut by Swarovski Gems.
